Learn and Burns - Practice Pile Burning with a Wildland Fire Crew in Ely

The Nature Conservancy (TNC)'s wildland fire crew is supporting hands-on experience for landowners who want to observe, participate, and practice burning brush piles. These "learn and burns" will take place throughout November 2024 weekends in the Ely area. They are free events, but registration is required.

NOTE: The specific dates are TBD and will be determined in large part by weather conditions, as well as wildfire risk and burn restrictions. The host locations are Hubachek Wilderness Research Center, YMCA Camp du Nord, and Vermilion - MN North College.
