Advancing Women’s Leadership in Forestry and Fire Management – A Tribal Perspective
At the 47th Annual National Timber Symposium in 2024, an inaugural Native Women & Allies in Forestry Luncheon occurred creating a space for Native women within the sector to engage in discussions and connect with each other. In 2025, the Canopy & Ember: Indigenous Women in Forestry and Wildland Fire planning team, in coordination with the Women’s Forest Congress, will build upon the strong interest and need for supporting women in the field of tribal forestry.
When? June 17, 2025, from 1:00-3:00 pm ET (12:00-2:00 pm CT; 11:00 am – 1:00 pm MT; and 10:00 am – 12:00 pm PT)
All are welcome to join this 2-hour virtual workshop, which will include panel discussions and offer space for professional connection, mentorship, and reflection. The workshop brings together voices from across generations, regions, and disciplines to share insights.
